Portable induction hob, recommend me one?
Discussion
As part of my mission to cook as little as possible indoors and use the outdoor kitchen as much as possible, I'm thinking it might be handy to have a portable induction hob outside, boiling rice, pasta that sort of thing
All the ones I'm finding seem rather 'too' cheap to be much good, but maybe they're just a cheap thing?
Anyone got a good one, don't mind spending a bit on something that will last and do the job well

We have an Ikea Tillreda in our campervan for cooking when we are on hookup power. Despite its cheap price I am very impressed with the build quality and the power output, thoroughly recommended.
We have the single one

but these also do a double:

Wow, it does surprise me that something that cheap does the job so well, but clearly it does if you're actually using it! Nice one We have the single one

I assumed I'd get a single, but maybe there's no reason not to get a double as I have space....

I think the technology is actually pretty simple and all similar so there is no real advantage to a very expensive one. Plus at the Ikea price point it is not the end of the World if anything bad happens to it.
Guess you're right, I came across this which isn't exactly a huge amount more than the Ikea onehttps://www.amazon.co.uk/AMZCHEF-Induction-Ultra-t...

The double Ikea one is 80 quid and the same power (2800w).https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMZCHEF-Induction-Ultra-t...
I’ve got both the Tefal one and the Ikea single. Used for years in our little business with no issues from either. I do think the Tefal one is just a bit nicer to use, buttons are easier, platform is a bit wider and lower profile.
If you find it does not appear to perform check how magnetic the bottom of the pan is. I’ve got a load of identical pots, one takes a lot longer than the others. If I didn’t have the other pots I might think the induction hob was a bit rubbish.

I have the single hob version of that one that I keep in my caravan (well I did until it got broken into and stolen) and it works well.https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMZCHEF-Induction-Ultra-t...
Wish this had come up a couple of years ago, Mrs N bought one online, looked and sounded fine, when it finally arrived from Poland, very well packaged, the display lit up with 000, no ,matter which button I tried nothing worked, no instructions came with it, look online for those.
After a fortnight of ringing what appeared to be an English phone number someone answered, very apologetic and said they would exchange it, second one came and now one side worked but the other didn't. Again it took ages to get an answer on the phone, this was returned, but it took a couple of months before the return came on the credit card.
Royal catering was the name if anyone is tempted.
