I do not really understand electrics so could do with some guidance please.

I have a AC Rotisserie... with this spec:

Should this battery pack with this spec power it?

My understanding is it should, but it doesn't. The Rotisserie works when plugged into he wall outlet, and the power pack charges a phone from all outlets.

If it is obvious that it won't, would someone please explain why?

Does it power an AC phone charger or is that via USB?

You're trying to power something that draws 4W, it can do up to 100W so should work, *but* it's possible the load is too small for the power pack to detect it/go active?

Hi… thanks

Yes the ac charger works as well as the usb ports.

Interesting about too low… thanks again.

Suspect I will return it!

What does the AC outlet plug like? A 3 pin lead ?

If the device only draws 4 W at 240 Volts , then since Power (Watts) = Volts x Amps(current) ... then Amps (current) = 4/240 ....so not a lot ... The Amp Hours of the battery pack dictates how long it can power it before drained .

I guess the Rotisserie. is just a small electric motor that turns a spit over a BBQ ?

The problem is probably that the ac produced by your battery pack doesn’t have a sufficiently smooth sine wave to power an AC motor like that.

So it has plenty enough power, but it still won’t work

Look for a pack that advertises a pure sine wave output.

The power pack was required and refunded with no quibble!
I have been looking but cannot find a power pack that is seemingly different to the one I returned.

I only really want it for powering the rotisserie does anyone have a suggestion for a product to buy? I could put a socket in outside but frankly don t really want to go to the bother unless have to. I ran an extension cable through the window last night which worked fine (obvs) I am thinking more for the winter. And also. A power pack might be useful for road trips etc!

Any suggestions please?
