Trouble finding replacement R63 bulb
Discussion
Mother’s kitchen light uses R63 bulbs. It is a fairly old unit so originally had incandescent bulbs and now LED. The trouble is R63 bulbs are typically about 100mm in length but they stick out of the lamp holder housing.
I thought about R50 bulbs but they seem to be ES14 and have a narrower beam angle.
I got some Asda LED bulbs, made by TCP, years ago that are shorter but one is on the way out and I can’t find a replacement. Any ideas on where some old stock might be hiding or another supplier?
Packaging from the current bulbs, note 87mm in height/length.

Thanks bought! Unfortunately only one available or I’d have bought some stock for when the rest inevitably fail. netherfield said:
All the bulbs displayed when I click your link are 99mm in length, not what the OP is looking for.I would use an adaptor to allow you to use more readily available bulbs. This adaptor, plus GU10 bulbs, should be relatively short and sit within the fitting.

I used some BC to GU10 adaptors in our old kitchen for around 10 years without issue.

Although this might be longer than you want, for the price they are worth a try, surprisingly good amount of light.

Thanks hadn’t thought of that. Some adapters and 110 degree gu10 leds should do the trick. Will see if the one bought from eBay does the job (it should do) and then go for these when the rest start failing. I could replace the whole light unit but seems a waste just because they don’t seem to do the shorter bulbs anymore. https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/JAESGU10.htm...
