A few years ago I bought a Lepro LED strip light to go above the garage door. They've worked well and I'm now looking for a similar self adhesive strip light to go round the inside of our new pergola.

Something that will look similar to this:

There are a few available, but things like the Pergolux sytem at £520 is just a tad over budget laugh
https://pergolux.co.uk/products/pergolux-led-light...

I do not want solar powered ones and will need to drop a cable through one of the legs to connect to power (pull is already there). Also, when I look on Amazon there are loads, but they need connecting and terminating - I just want one I can plug in when I need it and leave it outside when I don't. Happy to put the plug in a box to keep it dry.

My question to the PH experts is - what should I go for and any suggestions?

I bought a plug in 45m led light similar that I use in my garage - cost roughly £40 from TEMU or AliExpress

has worked fine for 6 months

Thanks - yes, I could buy more of the ones that I have in the garage, but I want some that can be left out in all weathers.

I don't trust AliExpress or any of those sites to provide something decent.

I guess there will be to options here.

£15 20m ebay/amazon/temu spec stick on potted strip which will likely do 2-5 years before something trivial fails.

£150/m architectural spec strip light in a nice aluminum extruded housing with diffuser etc that should last 20years.

I used to be like that, then realised that the big brands are probably manufactured in China anyways... and I've never had any issues since

(probably more so now with the Trump tariffs and the pop up of all the Chinese manufacturers on social media)

Have a look at Ledspace ‘splash12’ range
Lots of IP67 rated strips at reasonable prices.

I was looking at the govee ones like ledspace but never went as far as purchasing them, can get from Amazon so you know if they go wrong they'll be able to be sent back easily enough.

It’s actually very simple and low voltage so you can do 99% of it yourself.

If you send in a drawing or plans to that Co they will literally put a kit together for you.

Very different (quality) products.
