Can I remove my external telephone wire?

The telephone wire is running over my driveway, it seems to be a daily meeting place for the birds and I’m sick of constantly removing bird poop from the cars, can I remove said wire? As in cut it both ends, my house and the pole?

We use virgin, I’m not even sure sky use these wires anymore do they?

Or it could ‘break’ at your house end and you tie it up out the way at the pole end. This is what happened with mine and since I didn’t need it (have cable) I never reported it.

For the avoidance of any doubt, it broke where it passed through the trees at the front of the house. No tampering by me
