Plastic Building Supplies

Christ, what a shambles this lot have been.
Ive bought a few metres of fascia, soffits and guttering.
Order wasn't confirmed for about a week, I thought id get the work done over easter, woman from Eurocell phones me "oh we can't deliver today (Thursday) as the screws and glue hadn't arrived...that felt like a load of bllcks but I was off on a break this week so had to get it delivered today.
Eurocell turn up, brilliant...."yeh the orders all here mate".....I check the order sheet and half is missing.
I do a web Chat (no phone number) and say half of its missing "I'll find out and email you back".
No email as of now and half the UPVC.
Asking the Eurocell guy why this lot were half the price of the company delivering it were he said they are a Distributor and sell on bulk more than Eurocell.
All very weird but my advice is to probably avoid this lot.

Who Eurocell??
The nationwide company with 200 shops/branches.
Our local ones are fine have bought £10k+ of material from them over the last few years.
Not had an issue with Eurocell as ive not bought it directly, although they did give me a load of ck and bull on glue and nails holding up the order. The nationwide company with 200 shops/branches.

When I chatted to PBS they said the rest of my order thats missing was with someone else so clearly its PBS.

Eurocell are never going to prioritise orders via a middle man. You could have gone direct to them? When I chatted to PBS they said the rest of my order thats missing was with someone else so clearly its PBS.

Emailed Friday to get an update....no reply until this morning.
Apologies for leaving half your order off it needs to be ordered with our other supplier.
I go onto the supplier mentioned and its all in stock (but again double the price).
So I ordered this on the 7th and they originally didn't appear to add half the order.
Wtf is going on in this sales chain!

If you have a Eurocell local go into the branch. They keep all the most commonly used items in stock and should do next day delivery . My local branch is brilliant with deliveries. But we do use at least £1000 of materials a week.
They've done Half the order through Eurocell but the guttering and a few other bits is through GDS?I reckon they wait for a volume of order from customers and do a bulk order. I've had nothing response wise on a delivery date today and will go ape sht tomorrow if they don't fulfil it.
There do seem to be plenty of these types of suppliers elsewhere in the UPVC game.

I used direct plastics a few months ago for fascia and guttering, no complaints, everything turned up the next day
Do you know what I think I may actually phone this bunch of clowns up in the morning and order from these guys. I originally did a full quote as the basket was still in place and the pricing wasn't much difference.
One thing I've noticed is most of the neighbours have hollow soffit, I've gone for normal. It is double the price so no doubt another tactic by the fitters to increase coin in the back pocket, but does normal noticeably accumulate dirt more?

Well apparently the rest of the order is arriving tomorrow so decided to not order from the other supplier.
I've been getting into cutting of the Fascia/Soffit and it's quite easy to work with, im currently using a jigsaw.
It is rosewood and White would be even easier to not worry about cutting marks etc

So it all arrived at 3pm Friday....thats the last of this PBS lot.
I think I'll give direct plastics a go next batch of order.
The only pain for me is there isn't a UPVC supplier within 30 minutes of where I am in Dorset that does Rosewood.
It's going ok project wise, spent an hour trying to get some soffit in under an existing fascia on the shed that overhangs considerably, long story but where I'd put the screws in the protruded and im not sure the trim wasn't sagging in places.
I've found the knocking in/up quite easy enough so far.
