This cable snapped from the bottom of my work colleague's salon chair just now.

Does it have a name for that type of cable?

How easy would it be to obtain a replacement assuming we cannot obtain the original documentation.

There must be companies that can custom make a replacement I would have thought?

Pop into a bike shop, they may have something that will work.

Bowden cable.

Pushbike brake cable?

You may be able to make something to length using a 'solderless nipple' one end, or you may have to solder the nipple on, in which case you want zinc plated wire not stainless, which is hard to solder.

Find the brand of the chair. Cables seem reasonsbly available if you google salon chair cable.

Thanks for the replies so far.

It seems to be a fairly common 64.5cm scooter throttle cable length so will start the search there...
