Hi all,

I have had a new pent roofed shed built, and to help with any future water issues I have installed a 38mm deep wooden fascia and attached a gutter to the rear (the lowest point). However, I have an issue, in parts the gutter sits slightly proud of where the rain water drips off, so it is missing the gutter and hitting the floor.
What's my best option here? I was thinking of using some flashing tape to bridge the gap so it diverts into the gutter via that. However, I am open to suggestions here, as I am not the world's best DIYer.

Search for eaves tray. You should be able to cut them to suit your application.

Is the felt on the shed roof stuck down or just tacked on with clout nails?

What I understand by 'flashing tape' is 'flashband'.
That's basically a thin metal foil with a thick layer of black tar-like adhesive, handy stuff, but not what I'd choose for this problem.
Or at least not the whole solution.

I'd be looking for a handy bit of plastic (or metal or ???) that could be secure to the roof (under the wood or under the felt?) to direct the rain into the gutter.
Whatever's to hand really. A bit of plastic damp course might work. Even heavy polythene sheet.
Depends on the exact situation, But I'd be trying to avoid spending £££ on a big roll of 'stuff' etc.

The other approach is to move the gutter to where the rain naturally goes...

Hi, I appreciate the replies.
I've slept on it and decided to stick a thinner bit of fascia on , as trying to fix/bodge the issue will probably cause more problems down the line.
