How do I get this alarm working?
Discussion
Parents have moved into a new house. This is on the wall.
The security company whose details are on the alarm, have said that my parents need to upgrade the entire system, as the installed system works on a telephone line which is no longer present at the property.
My parents do not want a monitored alarm. They just want something that makes a noise.
Amy suggestions how how I can get this working?
Thanks

First option would be to contact the previous owner via estate agent or solicitor and see if they will give it to you.
Or, there's a couple of similar control panels on eBay for £60 - £100, it might be possible to buy one and integrate into the system. This would of course depend on the level of complexity programming in the system, but you get to set your own code.

Those operate on a proximity tag - not left with the keys when previous owners departed?
Otherwise, try the default user code of 1234, or the engineer code of 1111, from here > https://www.pyronix.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2...
And, once in program mode, you can set or delete dial out / SMS functions.

Nothing to lose by trying, although the alarm might complain if you try to set it without the telephone line connected, our did, in fact it complained when not set if there's was a line fault, now connected to a dual mobile sim device. There's two things pictured,
A Castle (now Pyronix) EUR-069 keypad.
A Zone Expander of some sort, maybe a Euro ZEM 32WE if the sensors are wireless.
With that in mind, I'd guess at it being a Euro 46 panel.
These are pretty standard, and there's no absolute requirement to use a dialler for monitoring. I'd be happy enough to remove that and use it standalone.
Depending on the specific model of panel, you may be able to add a DIGI-WIFI-XA or DIGI-LAN module for control if you want. (this is into board and software versions)
The engineer guides are available with some hunting around, but the final solution is to either default it and reprogram yourself, or find another company that will do a takeover. I see no need to rip out the entire system.
