I have a SGS 50cc strimmer I am putting in new fuel pipes and cant remember which connecter the feed pipe from the petrol tank goes to. The brass pipes coming out of the carburettor are different diameters, one is larger than the other. Can anyone help please. (I have not got the old pipes to check) also how far into the tank does the return pipe have to go.
I will be over the moon if someone can put me right!!
Thankssmile

Worth a try having a look at the exploded drawings at the bottom of this manual. https://content.sgs-engineering.com/upload/product...

The photos dont go into much carb or tank stripdown details.

If you skip to roughly the 6:50min mark in this video, you can see a fair bit of the orientation and depth of the pipes.

Looks like the guy in the video was dealing with perished fuel hoses. He seems to replace them with Tygon style hose.

Had a quick look at mine and can't see which length goes where without doing some disassembly. Been pissing down all day and the shed isn't big enough to manage it inside so will have a better look the next time it's dry if you haven't sorted it.

I had to do exactly the same job a couple of years ago as the hoses had completely perished. Seems very common on these so I now use premium unleaded in the hope of not doing it again

If it has a priming bulb, put you finger over the end of each brass nozzle in turn and operate the bulb. The supply nozzle is the one that, when sealed off, stops the bulb re-inflating. The return tube only has to go in the tank, not to the bottom just enough to return the fuel.
