As of today my boiler won’t fire to heat water. Heating works fine.
Checked the pressure gauge thing, it’s in the green ok.
Tried reset. Nothing. Powered off and on. Nothing.
No error codes displayed.

Even when heating on and boiler firing, no hot water.

Anyone any ideas?

Hoping it can be fixed under warranty pretty quickly if I can figure out who to ring.

Thanks.

Divertor valve is knackered.
Dig out your paperwork. See who you bought it from. They may sort the warranty if they are still in business or phone Greenstar in the morning.

Is it a complete new install, or just a new boiler?

I had similar with my Worcester green star. Had the engineer out and it actually the upstairs mixer shower valve had developed a fault and was sending cold water straight back into the system. Boiler was fine. Swapped the shower valve and was sorted.

May be worth considering.

That would be my guess. Takes seconds to check. A white plastic box on top of your pipework (mine is next to the HW tank). There's often a manual switch on the side that you can move by hand.

Usually 3 positions HW/CH/Both - sometimes its the motor is bust, sometimes its the valve in the pipework that's stuck. If its the former then depending on the model it can be a 15 minute DIY fix

OP is it a Combi boiler? Or a system boiler (do you have a HW tank)?

With the heating off and the boiler not running, what happens at the boiler when you open a hot tap.

Can you hear it making any noise as if it is trying to fire? Or just the sound of water flowing through it?

To be clear, when you open a hot tap, water runs. But cold?

If so, then either the HW function of the boiler is switched off, or set to a silly low temperature, or it's broken.
It's under warranty, so don't open the box and fiddle with it.

RTFM of course!
Try turning the mains off and back on.

If no water flows from any hot taps, then the supply to the boiler is turned off, the filter is blocked, the pressure regulator valve may be duff etc.
