Hi, we are in the process of getting hip to gable loft conversion started. I need to source bathroom myself. It's a small ensuite at 2.4 m x 1.7m (approx Internal dimensions) . We need a bath so 1.7m will be slightly adjusted as needs.

I know there have been many bathroom threads here and I have looked at many but most seem to recommend to go to "local" bathroom supplier and we are struggling to find somewhere decent.. We are in NW London.

So, few questions please. We are looking at mid range bathroom. We are in very hard water area and don't have a softener fitted (and no plans to get it done on near future due to very limited space in kitchen)

1. Asking again, any recommendations for bathroom supplier around NW London or Internet?

2. For taps I have seen Bristan, Grohe recommended. What about baths?

3. Stupid question but how do you judge quality of W/C. Other than rimless vs with rim they all look the same to me. Would appreciate any brand suggestions.

4. Do rimless toilets work properly?

5. For bath, is acrylic bath good option?

Thanks for reading my message.

We’ve generally always brought and fitted vitra sanitary ware, good quality not expensive.

Bristan or grohe taps. The former generally look nicer.

Aqualisa showers. Great warranty.

Baths carronite or equivalent reinforced, way better quality than cheap thin acrylic 💩.

Screwfix often best priced on taps / showers etc.

When we had our bathroom does 12 years ago we went with "cheap" B&Q bath/sink/bog, but Grohe taps/shower and it has all been good.

There are bathroom places on the Finchley Road and more down in Cricklewood.

To be honest, I'd source the porcelain from normal places and spend the money on the taps etc. It's the metalwork that needs to be tactile and top quality in my book.
