What’s the thinking behind this then?

The fastener that holds on the handle of my Bosch scarifier, you have to thread the smaller section, the red handle clears that then you have thread the larger section Is it some sort of backup, if the larger bit unthreads it’s unlikely the handle will detach completely?

Does the handle fold down for storage so the thread on the end would stop the red handle falling off when you unscrew it to fold the handle down?

Could be, never thought of that! I’ll check next year when I get it out again
