I took a labrador puppy on mid January and naturally he's been doing his toilet in the garden, the soil is full of clay so holds the water (future project). With the time of yeah and the amount of rain we've had it's turned the garden somewhat into a bog.
So with the warmer weather approaching the garden does have a certain odour (dog pee) how can i get rid of this? This will become less as the weather gets better as I'll be able to walk him more.

Once the pup is past the toilet training stage there is no need for it to peee in the garden. But a warm waterproof jacket and don't let bad weather stop you walking it.

We have two dogs and one won't ever pee in the garden because she is always walked. The second will but we haven't noticed an occasional pee causing a smell. A few spot of grass bleached though.

We are lucky that the local marked is about 30 paces away from our front garden but unless there is no local grass walking the dog several times a day would seem the solution.

Does the dog dislike the weather or you, OP?

Typical dog owning scum, suggesting let it piss on someone else's property.

Are you okay? I don't see any suggestion of that?

He's toilet trained and he's 4.5 months, but sometimes taking him out for a walk whenever he wants the toilet isn't always possible.
I walk him a few times a day already anyway and as I said with the better weather alroching this will increase.

Just wondered if there's was something I could wash it down with I guess.

Have you tried a watering can? Dilute it enough and it might get broken down by the soil.

It’s easier to get them to pee in a flattish bowl first then decant it into the watering can.

My Gran used to run a few pubs , there was always an Alsation in the courtyard as a guard dog for the full crates of beer and general security. I remember the stench in the summer when we used to visit.
Then biological washing powder came to the market.
She made a solution of this in a bucket and poured it all over the yard , this eventually got rid of the smell that of the urine that had soaked into the concrete over the years.
