Hi, appreciate any replies, pictures below show trees which seem to be dying from the bottom up. Any ideas what’s happening and what I could / should do? It’s a hotel next door and hence the trees provide a good degree of privacy from this. Also it may not be relevant but they’re literally meters from the North Sea.

Possibly salt damage, from salt spray or salt-laden haar coming in from the sea. It'll swirl round the trees and be deposited on them. Rain will wash the tops and the exposed side but it will stay on the lower sheltered bits.

Thanks, the worst impacted tree is closest to the sea and has the least protection so that’d make sense.
