hi there i have a sectional concrete garage and need to drill a 60mm hole to fit the exhaust of my diesel heater, any advice? as ive heard i shouldnt or it will crack. does anyone know if this is true? i was thinking of using a 60mm Core Drill Bit SDS Concrete Hole Cutter, is that any good. Thanks

Drill a pilot hole then core from both sides in turn so you don’t shatter the faces.

They’re usually mega hard through, some water might not go amiss, even with a dry core bit.

Using a 60mm sds core bit in a sectional garage is guaranteed to blow the concrete apart, not to mention you will almost likely hit some re-bar. Best to use a non hammer action diamond core and expect it to take ages.

Try a 500 DU round with a suitable pile of sand on the other side smile

i think your thinking of another post lol i have the same question, so you thik id be better with a 60mm diamond drill bit ??? i really want this to go well lol

Do you want to seal the exhaust to the wall? Would you want a larger hole to fit something like granno?
