I am looking to order the stone for the patio. It looks as if the stone will be coming from 2 different suppliers who of course sell different priming slurry.

Is there a priming slurry that anyone here recommends, especially for a DIYer. I guess equally importantly is there any one a DIYer should steer clear off?

When I done mine I just used SBR, cement and water, as above.

I doubt it matters. You can make your own cost effective bond bridge with SBR & cement.

I used this when laying our limestone paving, coming up on 2 years now and no issues/movement.
