I live in an old farm house circa 1840, one of the lounge walls has been stripped back to the bare stone. I would like to paint it white but not sure what's the best paint to use. I've read has to has to be "breathable", any suggestions on the best way forward?

I've heard good things about this range of breathable paints:

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll see if there are any local stockists.

Tradionally, Limewash.

eg, https://www.limestuff.co.uk/limewash/limewash-pure...

Don't get suckered in too far by the "artisanal" types that'll have you paying fortunes for their tradional handmade wood fired taste the difference lime at £stupid per litre.

Just use contract matt, any decent decor centre will mix the colour you want.

This. I highly recommend their clay range, so much depth of colour when on and suitable for the wall type unlike the suggestion above.

I'm sure it's perfectly good and all that, but that company reminds me of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyf3CBc01fM
