My neighbour has been drilling holes / banging for what seems like 10 years , it’s just constant , he’s a builder so I’d of thought he’d get most things right first time , but we’re back on the living room yet again , we’ve done all the major renovations over the first few years of moving in , now it’s just decorating .cant understand why he needs to rip the living room apart every year !
I drive Lorry’s , but come weekend / hol I’ve no interest in driving them , I’d of thought builders would be the same but obviously not .
Nb can’t you tell I’m tired , just dozing on settee & off the bloody drill goes , time to move .

Bring your lorry home and park it across his driveway?

Have you ever considered having a polite chat with him about it? Maybe he does not realise how much it affects you. Failing that, noise-cancelling headphones or strategic weekends away might be the only options—short of moving, of course!

One of the lads who works for me in the building trade could be your neighbor.
Despite living in a small 2 bed semi he never ever stops working on it. It’s all down to his missus who I think is actually ill. He finishes one room and then immediately starts on the next one. As soon as the whole house is done say 18 months then it’s back to the start and do it all again. He has redone the kitchen at least 4 times in the last 10 years. Revamped the tiny rear garden at least 3 times in the last 6 years, patio down, patio up, Astro turf down Astro turf up etc etc. she spends a fortune on the house and he just grafts away non stop. The quality of his work is bang on it’s just that his missus just cannot stop. It’s the subject of much discussion and mirth at work but in reality I am a bit worried for him.

Isn't there a saying about a builders house never being finished?
