I always put a couple of these on the valves after removing the rad in the hope it will stem any leaks.

Use a heavy duty bag/rubble sack to catch any outflow and have a plan for if the valves leak.
This. A small job can turn into a trip to Screwfix when a removed radiator will not re-seal and the system has to be drained down……Use a heavy duty bag/rubble sack to catch any outflow and have a plan for if the valves leak.
