Removing a radiator to decorate

Wanting to remove a radiator so I can plaster a wall but the valve on this one is different to the others. How do you close this type off?

Obvs you’ll need to isolate the opposite end too…

Use a heavy duty bag/rubble sack to catch any outflow and have a plan for if the valves leak.

I always put a couple of these on the valves after removing the rad in the hope it will stem any leaks.

This. A small job can turn into a trip to Screwfix when a removed radiator will not re-seal and the system has to be drained down……

I'm not so sure that vid was plastic pipe! Either way it works with copper if there's enough 'slack' to raise it off the bracket.

No it was copper, I was just saying the only real benefit of plastic is you can take them off the wall without loosening anything.

No it was copper, I was just saying the only real benefit of plastic is you can take them off the wall without loosening anything.
