I’m after an 80cm wide wall mounted kitchen extractor that is slim. I’m not certain how best to describe the style but I see some sites call them a t bar design.

I can see a luxair model that comes in 80cm width that might fit the requirements but I’ve never heard of the brand so hoping someone on here has one or knows about Luxair kitchen extractors and can give me any feedback (good or bad).

Thanks

I’ve got a Luxair hood that does something ridiculous like 900m3/hr. It’s well made, reasonably quiet and sucks well! I think they’re one of the more premium brands and I’m happy with it.

Also have an Elica in the pantry and that’s also very good but noisy.

We purchased a Luxair for our new kitchen in September 2023 and went with a Moda 110 stainless steel. Our kitchen ceiling is relatively low at 2.3m and pretty much every other (sensibly priced) brand / model of extractor hood I could find online had a much bigger vertical drop. As I'm 185cm (6'1") tall, the extractor hood would have been about level with my shoulders so no use at all. Luxair were very quick to answer my initial questions about minimum drop height.

Performs great IMO, so we rarely go above speed 2 and the auto-off timer is handy. Order process was good. We paid for the standard delivery - ordered on a Thursday, arrived on a pallet delivery the following Monday.

Only glitch we had was with some of the 5" ducting I ordered at the same time, as the alloy flexi-hose wouldn't mate with the plastic corner bends. They offered a return and have updated the website since to show it doesn't fit.

Thanks this is very helpful as I’m looking at the Moda version as well. I’ve also realised that the company is local to me and they have been very helpful already on email.

+1 for Luxair, bought ours in 2014 and still works like new, it’s used daily.

Was expensive, but I needed an angled one as the ceiling is low and they were almost the only option.

It also looks nice as it’s glass/stainless and you can wash the filter in the dishwasher.
