Lost garage door key

We have 2x Hormann up and over doors and I can’t find th keys. Is it possible to order replacement ones? If so can you suggest a company to contact?

If they aren’t too advanced locks then you might be able to take the number off the keyhole Google Horman key and that number and see what comes up. I’ve had success with other locks before.

All I can see is F3. I can’t work out how to remove the barrel otherwise I’d just get a new one

Standard up and over Horman with the rectangle steel box that attaches to the 2 bars going up to the latches at the top.

Very easy to remove the barrel, under the handle on the outside is a pozi screw, unscrew the t handle from inside the garage and remove the outside handle, remove screw under it, rectangle box is now free, remove Euro cylinder like any other with the one screw.

If you can’t get in a garage you’ll have to try and force the top latches in with a thin steel strap, can be done once you locate the latches.

I tried all of that. I believe there is a cam on the lock which needs to be rotated via the key to allow it to slide out. With all screws removed it won’t budge

It’s been over a decade since I removed one but yes like any euro lock it would need turning a bit to remove.

Drill the lock out then, a few 3 or 4mm hss bits, then a slotted screwdriver in it will destroy the barrel.

Before doing that speak to a local locksmith, a neighbour was about to do the same but got charged £45 for a call out, which got her doors unlocked and keys which fitted locks.

I would just do this, much easier and less stress, once you muller the lock you still need to sort it.

I locked my buzzer inside my garage, it also had a lock so you could manually unlock and push it up.

I ordered a cheap lock picking set from amazon, and it took me less than 2 minutes in the dark to unlock it. scary how easy it is, but saved the day!

For £35 you can get the whole lock body, although you'll need a lock as well for another £15 or so. It might be cheaper than a locksmith call out.
