Moved house today and while manoeuvring the washing machine this thing fell out of it. Does anyone know what it is? Last thing I want is to plumb it in and find water pissing out of somewhere it shouldn’t!

The machine is a Beko WTL82051B. I have tried looking for a parts diagram or something but haven’t had much joy. Hoping the collective PH wisdom can advise biggrin

Looks like it might just be one of the retention plugs that hold the drum in place when they're new. They have a habit of dropping down into the body of the washing machine, never to see the light of day again until moved around a bunch. I don't *think* it's part of the actual machine, and therefore nothing to worry about.

Hopefully someone else can confirm!

Edit: Kinda looks like this replacement item for a Beko machine (albeit with the missing screw bit to hold it in place), so pretty sure the above is correct

Link didn't work - just Google 'Beko washing machine transit bolt' and go to images, pretty sure that's all it is and nothing to worry about.

Just bought a new washing machine and the instructions said to remove four of those plus the bolts before using it.

As said looks like a transit plug.

Thank you all. I thought transit screw too but it is a slightly different design. That being said I’ve looked inside and underneath the machine as much as I can and there is nothing obviously missing so I think just go for it and keep an eye out for puddles biggrin

Looks like some kind of retaining plunger.
