Hi, we have a problem with our front composite door where we have air coming in almost all the way around. Fitted by cowboys and it seems there is no adjustment on hinges. I will replace door later on but for now I need to stop the draughts. Online I can either get rubber gaskets or brush strips. Is one better than the other?

I replaced the sealing strip on our rear composite door and it’s been perfect since.

I’d go rubber over brush based on my vast experience of 1 door.

Is there adjustment on the locks/strike/latch plates? Pulling it in tighter is more effective than hinge adjustment.

Seals depend on the profile that the door has. Post some pictures of the frame and threshold. You may want general stormguard for compression areas, but there will likely be channels than can be filled with better, thicker, rubber stuff.

Most off the shelf composites are crap as the frame is flush.

Rubber seals are usually for where it will be compressed on closing eg. the front face or hinge side, brush seals are more for gaps where it 'wipes' on closing without compression eg top/bottom/side opposite the hinges.
