Several months in and I’m trying to prioritise works on my house having done sweet F.A. so far.

The survey picked up some growth and re-pointing necessary to the (disused) chimney stack and nesting jackdaws.

There’s a lot of moss up there. The roof is original. The house would be a good candidate for a loft conversion but this isn’t something I’m likely to do as I don’t need the space. Equally there are no problems with the roof. As you can see my neighbours have had theirs re-tiled at some point.

I'm not looking for jobs for the fun of it, but if having it cleaned / touched up is the difference between the roof lasting the duration of my ownership and not...

Next owner will likely want to convert the loft...

The roof will be ok , moss doesn’t hurt it , but I would get the chimney tidied up , raked out and re pointed and the top re set .
It’s obviously very damp as there’s a small garden growing.
