Best method and position for wall mounted tv
Discussion
Hoping for some feedback, im not an electrician but know the basics just after thoughts in the best and neatest way.
I will get an electricain to do the final wire up.
Looking to mount a wall hang tv in a downstairs room, We would like to have lower sockets and a socket to sit behind the tv but im not sure this is possibe.
On on the closest wall there is a main feed which has a spur, dont really need these plugs (there are sockets in each corner)
i understand we cannot just blank off so plan to change to a single socket from the main feed.
Hopefully the image below shows where we would like the tv with the cables hidden in the void between plasterboard and blockwork.
Although my thinking rather than feed from the room sockets in the hall (wall behind) there is a main feed socket, taking the backing plate off i presume i could drill through and get a feed from this, but i cant spur from a spur so struggling how i get sockets below the tv and also on the wall.
Any suggestions? The room is booked in for some plastering so holes are no issue for now.
