Hi,, Anyone using cardio equipment in the garden with covers, especially in the UK weather?

Want to know if it stays ok for years, especially those machines that run on electricity. With waterproof covers on, does dust and moisture damage them or do they stay ok for years?

Maybe I'm missing something but if you're going to be outside anyway why not just go for a proper run/cycle/walk?!

I wouldn't try using something designed for indoors, outdoors. All sorts of things will rust/degrade, even if it's under a cover.

You can get cardio equipment designed explicitly for outdoor use but it's usually body-weight only which limits how much you can customise the resistance, etc.

Our smart turbo trainer has been outside on decking (with a bike cover over the bike and turbo when not in use) for nearly 2 years. No problems so far, but it wasn’t hugely expensive.
