Too late for iron sulphate on lawn?
Discussion
I'm not too sure .. If you kill the moss at this time of year ...What's going to fill in the bare patch ??? Other than new moss .
I think your time and money would be better spent improving the drainage(herringboned perforated pipes)/spiking/pruning overhanging trees or improving your soil. Address the cause of the moss.

I think it may depend on whether you are going to clear the dead moss after?
I am going to do some winter fertilizer this week with a light does of iron sulphate, but more for strength than moss removal. That said I have been dosing it every 4 months after a massive de-mossing this year. But I'll save the big does for spring.

Won't do it any harm at all, although I would be inclined to apply a lower dose to harden the lawn for winter rather than deal with moss issues. As someone mentioned above, if you kill the moss now then it's too late to overseed so you're looking at more moss and/or weeds if ground temps remain higher than usual.

we removed moss and thatch and then over-seeded three weeks ago - no issues and a verdant green lawn now...however it is noticeable that the temperature here has significantly dropped in the last week or so...
