Morning,

In the process of turning a triple oak carport into a garage, with doors, workshop space and games! I have fancy floor tiles etc going down, so it should end up looking good.

I have insulated and boarded it out internally and don’t know how to decorate.

- I don’t want to paint the whole thing and it would be nice to retain the oak structure as is.
- roof will be boarded next year. Have done back and gable ends.

Here is a rough pic of one end wall, will add better photos later.

Any suggestions? One thought was those acoustic slat panels?
These could sit between the oak frame and essentially mask the ply at lower level. Although not sure what to do with gable ends at higher level.

Also, any ideas on covering up the block at the bottom?

I'd start by clipping that cable that goes into the top of the board!

Helpful. Yes that’s been done.

Commercial slat panels would be expensive for a garage over that distance. You could paint the existing sheets black, then rip 40mm strips from more sheets of ply (sand it first), fix at even intervals then varnish for the same effect.
