Just finishing off our utility and the worktop (quartz 30mm thick) is due to go in hopefully next week.
I asked the fitter about what support would be needed over the washing machine. He has said some simple ‘L’ brackets fixed to the tall unit.
I was assuming a batten along the back would be needed.
What have others done?
Will be fixings into the carcass be strong enough to hold the worktop (appreciating most of the weight is supported by the sink unit)
Cheers

I'd certainly put a batten along the back wall, and on the tall unit if you have space. If not, fit at least 4 'L' brackets.

Batten all the way across the back and looking at the levels in the pic another one into the side of the vertical unit set back about 20cm so less chance of being seen from the front bolted through the side for more strength

Anodised ali angle might be a nicer job than white-van-man's L brackets from Screwfix.

30 mm quartz will support itself to be honest but a baton on the rear and half the width of the side will be more than enough if your that concerned.
