I'm looking at changing our current composite doors for hardwood ones.

I've been quote c £2,300 each for two doors, and about £650 per door for fitting, all inclusive of VAT. They are both panelled to about half height and glass above, fully insulated with U=1.79.

Doors are in Utile, and come from what gives every impression of being a decent local joinery company. I've visited their premises and spoken to the owner.

So, does this seem a reasonable price to pay?

We had a quote of 2400 for one composit door and basic window supply only locally. Felt it was taking the pish tbh Rang another company I've dealt with before and halved price. If your Midlands I can send you details

Thanks but I'm in North Essex. Over £2K for composite does sound quite toppy.

Anywhere nr Halstead, try Greenglaze, they have a physical shop, ask for Steve, the owner. Done lots of work for me, on my own houses and BTLs.
