Isolation switch in en-suite
Discussion
Doing a refurbishment at the moment of an en-suite and I have an isolation switch for a shaving point which was located behind a tall base unit, that unit has now been removed leaving the switch about two thirds up the wall.
So my question is do I have to keep the switch or can I do away with it and extend the cable down the wall as I’m going to install a new shaver point.
Thanks all.

I've not seen anything that requires an isolation switch if the socket is connected to a light circuit but if it's off a ring then it would need an FCU. Don't forget that if you want to use it for toothbrush charging as well as shavers that not all shaver outlets are suitable (not designed for constant load).
Someone will be along soon to say - special location - Part P only - if you have to ask you shouldn't be doing it.
