There was a thread somewhere but I've lost it.

Looking to replace the 15 year old Dewalt that's seen me through three house renovations and countless car faffs.

Anything worth considering over this?

Medium DIY I would say.

Always liked Dewalt because I lose it less than the Makita and it stayed torquey(?) for longer through the battery life.

I have a number of tools in that range, drill, impact, circular saw, nail gun, multi-tool and so on and I swear by it.

We are renovating a house so they get used most days for something and the tools have lasted well, the battery life is good apart from when using the saw on hard wood.

I have two chargers and 4 genuine batteries and 1 knock off larger battery which means that I always have charged batteries.

I have the cheapest Bosch Professional set that’s been excellent, but if you’ve been happy with the DeWalt I don’t see any reason to buy something else.

We have some fairly new Dewalt kit in work and some of the batteries have died within 18 months and thats not with hard use.
Ive never been a fan of the modern Dewalt but everyone has their favourites.

I've tried a few 'alternate' batteries over the years and they always seem weaker. Stats were the same.

If I'm tempted by another flavour I know it will be magically snuffled away into my father's blackhole of a shed laugh
