Evening folks

Mega boring post sorry! We have two corner cabinets in our kitchen with Blum hinges- I don't know the spec of the hinges but they hold they split door together.

I am missing almost all of the screws for the hinges! One door has none left and another only has one hinge out of two working.

Does anyone know if these are a standard spec/size I can buy to avoid having to buy four new hinges please?

Any help much appreciatedsmile

It is the two screws pictured I need replacing

Contact Blum, they have good customer services/technical help. When a couple of my hinges started losing their 'spring' they sent me free replacements.

More importantly, what happened to your original screws?

Thank you probably the best best!

We only moved in 6 months ago, both cabinets bottom screws were missing and the top one on one of them pinged off today and can't be found anywhere?!

Sadly the kitchen is a bit of a bodge we have to nurse on for a few years until we can afford to replace it.

Try putting a cut down matches into the hole, don’t use the head obviously the extra material of the match might give enough bite

Hinge repair plates are an inexpensive solution if there’s nothing left to screw into.

Thank you all for the replies and suggestions it's much appreciated 👍🏼

As simpo suggested yesterday I emailed Blum and they replied to me at 8am this morning giving me the sizes of the screws I needed- great service!

Now to track some down!

You’d have replacements from Screwfix within an hour if they had them stock rather than pissing about trying to get screws!

Probably but I don't know what angle the hinges actually are and it seems a little wasteful buying entire new hinges for the sake of 6 screws.

You probably are right though as I'll end up with a pack of 100 each no doubt!!

The good old days when they used to put them in a jar for you instead of sowing them on the drive to grow into beautiful trees only to be cruelly murdeed by their arch nemesis the brand new, bloody expensive Pirelli. biggrin

The issue with our tubs of old kitchen screws and the reason that they last for ever is that the screws always seem to be made of the worst quality metal. Some kind of super soft alloy?

I've just had a kitchen fitted and have multiple bags of screws, hinges, plastic bits and bobs, doors, shelves left over. I do need to consolidate into a 'jar'......

Super soft alloy? That will be Chinesium™, coupled with screw heads that manage to be neither Pozi, Philips, JIS, Torx or slotted, they merely bide their time, waiting for a screwdriver to be designed that fits them.

True but they're only making what they're told to make so any fault is much closer to home.
