Ticking 3 port valve

I think I know the answer but before I run to SF to pick up a new one...

Valve is opening and closing on demand but when open slight rocking movement and ticking like a clock. Loudly.

Replace the motor or whole thing?

Motor gearbox sounds worn, just replace the head (electrical bit), mark the wires or take a photo, dead easy to do.
