If you are in need of a decorative board that is also fire resistant, look no further than ‘Asbestolux’, it’s paintable, nailable and sawable*

Why not take your darling wife along to your local Gas showroom, for HER happiness!

…alternatively, to gladden her heart why not buy her a Wolf Quatermaster floor polishing attachment for her power drill, the time saved can be used to attend to YOUR needs!

We get a lot of suggestions for sheds and garages on here, why not try Park Lines Ltd?

Opportunity for a disruptive start up, like those online sofa companies.

I reckon sheds that look like giant smartphones would sell well. The iShed.

I love the pricing of the fence panels: 2' is15s/9d while the 3' is a flat 19 bob. You'd have thought they would have rounded them all up for the sake of thruppence.

Here you go, not sure if prices have gone up but worth a phone call. Not sure if they’re fireproofed with asbestos or if that’s an extra. Also, imagine having a DIY kitchen showroom situated in the middle of Mayfair in 2024eek

Next door neighbour is having a clear out at her late parents house, thought this would be up my street: she was right!

Don’t you just hate the convenience and mundanity of buying a fridge from a reputable supplier, knowing it has gone through a multitude of checks to comply with all known international safety standards? Instead, why not build your own fridge? Who doesn’t want that frisson of excitement you’ll get wondering if you’ll get a belt off the fking thing every time you touch it? Order now from Carnaby street(!) to avoid disappointment.

Thanks!

Did people cook on open fires back then? Or perhaps people rich enough to afford fitted kitchens could eat out every night. smile

That's the sort of thing you'd find in student accommodation in the 1980s.

The magazine is 1958 AD not BC so yes, they did have cookers nuts
