Oil heating leak
Discussion
Had my oil topped up yesterday. Tank is now about half full.
Noticed this morning that oil is leaking from the flow control valve. Leaking out of the top and running down. Only when boiler running
It is outside.
In my simple brain, is it doing this now because more oil in tank creates more pressure? Or is that a massive oversimplification?
The tank has a multiple turn tap. Not a simple off/on lever. The tap is fully open
Only moved in this spring so it’s the most oil that’s been in the tank whilst I’ve been here.
