Sorry I know this has been asked before but I’ve searched for hours and haven’t found the thread I need where the product was named .
Looking for chemical / cleaner to take algae staining from grey composite decking. I believe this chemical in question is quite potent, but overall the best to get rid of said staining.
Thanks

Rust-Oleum RockSolid Composite Deck Stain Remover is the recommended thing here in the US. No idea on availability in the UK.

Thanks for reply. I think it was a different chemical recommended previously ,but I’m at a loss to remember the name of it.
So may give this a go. Seems expensive in the UK but if it works I’ll give it a go.

Wasn’t BAC-50 was it?

I’d seen it mentioned so often as an algae killer and eventually got round to getting some. Used it via a backpack sprayer at 40:1 on patio and decking etc last Wednesday before going away for 5 days and came back to a great transformation. Really impressed

Patio Magic generally works well for me followed by a good jet washing.

I'm guessing it was BAC-50. Works a treat and far cheaper than all the ready mixed alternatives like Patio Magic.

Any recommendations for sprayers that don't just bung up and stop working after a year?
I think I have two in the shed in that condition now.
Have always tried to finish spraying with jet up until nothing comes out to 'clear the tubes'....maybe I need to do something else (or not buy the cheapest I can find!)

Be nice to find a good one!
Thx

BAC-50. That was it. Brilliant, thanks.
Been driving me nuts. Knew it started with a B and was close but nothing came up on Google search either. Thanks again everyone.

To get the algae and slime off paving slabs, I find liquid laundry detergent from Aldi is very effective.
Spray on with garden sprayer maybe 50cc in 5litres?
Let it sit, scrub it a bit mop it up then rinse it.

I'd imagine it would be pretty good on composite, I've uued it on wood and fabric to good effect.
Bio washing powder is said to be good too.
