We had 5" of rainwater runoff (and later overflowing diluted sewage) on our front drive from the heavy rain at the weekend. This has flowed into the garage, bringing a layer of silt with it as the runoff comes from a nearby field. I've seen seals like this: https://uk.garadry.com/collections/garage-door-sea...

Which would have been ok today when we had a mere 1" in the garage, but no good when it's deeper.
Neighbour is planning to build something akin to a speed hump just inside his garage door, but that sounds like a pain as I have a VX220 which is pretty low and also like to bring my scissor lift outside (which must weight about 500kg).

Anyone else faced the same issue, and what did you do?

PS the doors are just up and overs - so I doubt they could be made to seal effectively at the bottom.
I assume roller shutter doors are rainproof but not waterproof

Ugh, bad luck. Can you divert the water before it gets near the garage in the first place? E.g. a ditch or french drain at the boundary of your property?

If it's something you can "predict" might happen, would you be able to install some sort of temporary barrier as and when you think you might need it?

Something like this, albeit a bit pricey?

Or a cheaper option, probably less effective.

It would be relatively simple to build a temporary/removable dam from timber, which screws into a permanent timber frame (sealed to the wall and floor) just inside the garage door.
