I’ve been reading previous PH threads about privacy film that goes over your existing double glazing.

As long as the outside light is 40% brighter than inside, it will reflect any views according to what I’ve read.

Once I switch on my internal lights, I’d be drawing the curtains anyway.

However during the day I like having lots of natural light and prefer to keep my curtains open.

Could anyone recommend the industry leader in privacy film in 2024? Bonus point if they offer an installation service?

Thought I'd bump this thread in case anyone has any suggestions?

I might even replace the glazing if anyone has done this and can recommend a brand of window they used?

This sort of thing ? It's a simple DIY job anyone can do.

"Dc fix self-adhesive mirror-effect privacy film is designed to provide one-way privacy to windows, wherever the light is greater. When fitted to the interior side of external glazing, you will be able to see out, but no one will see in during daylight hours."

There's loads more to choose from.

I've used something similar to this, takes about 20 mins to do each window.

"Quick and easy to apply to clean, smooth glass surfaces. Simply spray the glass with plenty of water, remove the backing paper and smooth into position, pushing the excess water out to the sides. If you make a mistake, peel back and start again. The water will dry out leaving a flawless finish."

"Static cling window films are a non-permanent DIY solution, perfect for home owners, tenants or landlords looking for an affordable window solution".
