Anyone heard of or subscribed to BRSK and/or their TV package (BetterTV)?

We currently have BT (Now EE) TV & BB. We cannot get any higher than 36MBPS, and only really achieve 12-17MBPS as it's coming down the phoneline. BRSK are in the area laying fibre to get faster speeds. Trouble is, we live in an un-adopted road with 5 houses on it. BRSK will have to run an underground line to feed us, but they want me to sign up to their TV package before they do the work.
Figures are good, Broadband is £20pm for 100mbps, plus £10 pm for the TV.

I asked if their supplied TV box allows live pause and recording, they said yes but you need a USB memory stick in the TV to do this. I've asked for a video from them to show how it works but not sure if it'll be as good as BT/EE (it is a good package).
I pay £56pm for BT but the internet speed is quite poor. They won't allow a TV contract without also signing up for their BB.
Contract is up with BT so I'm free to shop around. I can't go to Virgin as there is no fibre in the street, and I gave up on SKY due to increased costs every year.

Anyone have BetterTV?

I dont have the TV element but I do have the internet and it is very good. I have had no issues and it is cheaper than Virgin and much better.

They have sent me a link but it’s for ‘Netgem TV’.

Hi, sorry for a late reply to this. We switched to Brsk from Virgin a few months ago, and my opinion is mixed!

The WiFi is great… I just ran a speed test on my iPad and it’s detecting a speed of 570 MBps, which is faster than virgins standard offering was.

The issue I have is with the tv. The tv box connects wirelessly over WiFi, and sometimes buffers if we try and watch a programme on catch up.

The main limitation with the tv is that if you programme it to record a programme, you can’t then watch a different channel live, which seems a real limitation. Maybe some people only ever watch content via Netflix, Disney etc. But I’m old school - I watch a lot of live tv.

Hope this helps smile
