Okay, I’ve seen worse but why? The house wasn’t built in 2023 and yes the drive was but why date it? Surely it’s facing the wrong way also?

  • wrong forum clearly! Sorry.

It’s so they remember what year it is when they wake up in the morning.

It will have been whoever done the driveway that came up with idea. Come January there will be a knock in the door, "sir, your driveway is out of date and needs redone" smile

When he gets up in the morning and pulls the curtains back & looks at his work and reminder of the date it will make him all hard for his missus ...

What makes you say that? Just seems like a reasonably large driveway? These days children are at home so much longer it's easy to end up with four or more cars at the one house, so having plenty of parking is useful.

That is definitely odd and if it's to signify the year for some reason, it's also rather naff!

If it was the house number, you'd imagine they'd have the number outward facing.

Corner to corner driveway over the front "garden" is grim.

Reminds me of the building near us with the house number on the roof.
