Hi All

Can anyone recommend a gazebo , maybe one youve bought and left up all last summer that stayed up, handle wind and rain ok, the canopy didnt start falling apart after a few months and so on?

Everyone I find online has swathes of reviews saying how cr4p it was and didnt last 5 minutes.

After 3m x 3m with adjustable height if possible. Intending to erect over a pond and take down again in autumn for winter storage.

Thanks

any of this style:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dawsons-Living-Waterproof...

have had one up for the whole of the last year - we use water based weights on the legs:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B015T5GLTO/

and it hasn't shifted - even in 50mph+ winds - though it is in a section of the garden that is less windy...

Just the sort of recco I was after! Many thanks. Height adjustable as well marvellous.

I bought two of the Explorer Series from this company about three years ago, I got a 3x3m and 3x4.5m.

Heavy, but so far have stood the abuse three years late. If I'd had a bit more money at the time though I'd have plumped for one of the hex series ones.

Got up Monday morning and he Dawsons gazebo Ive had up for a fair few weeks had collapsed completely. It looks like several of the side zig-zag supports have snapped entirely in two. Didnt think it was that windy overnight either so no idea why its completely destroyed. £110 up the swanee, bah.

I would be sending it back - ours has been up now non-stop for 18 months+ with no issues

Bit late for me to add a +1 by the sounds of it, but same here.

Have got a 3x3 from them that is pretty much as solid as my house.

Only criticism is that it is a bit huge to be considered portable.

Hi yeah Ive messaged them via the amazon service, see if they get back to me. I had the water weight things on the feet bit did not use any guy ropes to tie the top to anything. Can I ask if you fixed the top section to anything at all? Used the guy ropes tied to ground pegs or anything?

Thanks.

To be fair - mine is a different manufacturer - though I suspect that they are probably all made on the same Chinese factory line!
Ours simply has the water weights around the feet and nothing tied down anywhere - however it is on a section of the terrace around the side of the house where the wind tends not to go...

+1 from me as well - rockawnings stuff is great, dependable and tougher than the competition. I've got a 6x3 that we take annually to Le Mans and it's still in great condition.

ETA : the one I have is from the 'Explorer' range https://rockawnings.co.uk/gazebos/explorer-series-...

You can purchase replacement cross supports.. I've fixed 2 other gazebos, but the Rock Awnings one hasn't needed fixing or replacement parts - it's made from thicker gauge metal (and is therefore a lot heavier!!)

There are quite a number of other threads on this (even if you just google 'motorsports gasebo' you get hits for PH)

http://ezup-direct.co.uk/

Are the original for this type of folding unit I believe, certainly been around 20 years, not cheap but I am told you get what you pay for and they do last well.

Surf and Turf also get mentioned as a brand in other threads.

We've got one of these and it is very substantial, leagues ahead of any we've had previously. Would recommend.

Stays put in a fair old breeze even without the sandbags attached, and has withstood some serious wind with them attached.
