Anyone got one? I have just ordered one and delivery and build in June.

Any tips for using and getting the most out of it?

Very excited - we went for a 10m one as we are a family of 4 and fancied a little bit of space.

Thanks

Do you have a link to what you're getting?

Yep they are brilliant a mate suggested one as a drunken idea a few years back when I was struggling for anniversary present for wife.

Gets used all the time in fact in it now getting tea ready (2nd pic).

Recommend treating in 2 stage Sikkens HLS and the Filter.

Then you just have to top up the filter every 4-5 years.

We get through an load of restaurant charcoal though about 5 X 12kg bags a Month! We get from Coals to 2u and with discount codes works out just under £10k a bag delivered in bulk.

Ours is 17sqm so assume you mean 10sqm?

I converted an existing out building by building a chimney, benches, a couple of roof lights and plastered the ceiling.
We use it more than the kitchen , it's only 7 square metres inside but seats six easily , 8 would just about fit with careful table and seat positions.
There's pics on the BBQ thread , don't laugh if you look as I built it out of crap I had laid about , I like recycling rubbish hence it's nowhere near as impressive as the purpose built one pictured before .

That looks amazing but kind of takes away the whole idea of having a BBQ. Inside what is essentially a shed instead of outside enjoying the good weather with friends and family. I can the attraction of it in the winter however.

Ah! I had a jerk shack in mind rather than BBQ chalet. biggrin The campsite we use when we're skiing* has one which makes sense in the Alps. Not so sure here.

Yeah we mostly use in the evenings / nights and winter.

The Weber gas bottle was empty and couldn’t be arsed to go out.

As ever you pay st you get st we looked at some cheap ones with upright walls.

The sloping wall ones much better and more comfy.

If anyone hunting Artic cabins make the best quality ones we found. Really well manufactured bits of kit.

We got ours from here http://bbqlodges.co.uk/ (they are a reseller for above and just down road from us).

Thanks guys,

Order was placed and delivery and build 17th June

Yes we have gone for an Artic Cabins one direct from them as well - been looking for a few years and ended up with an amazing deal.
We ordered the 10metre square one

Thanks for the tip for Coals2u - as I think we will go through lots as well.

Now just planning the interior decor and electrics

I built one last year. It started as a wooden gazebo, then I did some blockwork inside and put on granite tops. Next came electrics, an infrared heater, lighting, a bluetooth sound bar, a TV, a large extractor, and as well as the 2 big green eggs I now have a gas grill set into the granite. I use it all year round and it's a great entertaining space.

One of my daughters friends family owns this place - https://www.hambleretreat.com/- it was on "Three in a bed" or Come dine with me or something a while back.

They put one in a few years back, it seats probably 10-15, bbq in the middlle, bar, fridges etc. Great in the winter. Thought there were pics of it on the site but I cant see them now.

I get that this is all about marketing, but WHAT AN ANNOYING WEBSITE - There are NO PRICES - so in order to find out how much one is, I have to ring up and speak to someone - which I'm not going to do. I presume they've thought it through, and they figure they get more sales by being able to talk to people - but it's not working with me.

This looks great! Can I ask, doesn't it just fill with smoke? I see you mention extractor but can't see one in the pics.

Those pics were taken pre extractor. With the side open the smoke naturally clears, but in winter when it’s closed and the heater is on, the extractor gets rid of all the smoke really well.
