With Oil prices dropping steadily I've been waiting to get a delivery (can easily wait 6 months)

I checked today and the price has rocketed despite the oil price still dropping

Are there really supply problems at this stage or just more panic buying ?

Cash and carry has increased alcohol by £5-10 per case. Toilet roll 40% increase. To sell at PM price we now would make 3%. Its blatant profiteering going on where they can get away with it.

I had 600l delivered 9th March at 38p per litre. Just been on the same company website and the price is up to 47p per litre. Draw your own conclusions. Just wish I'd brimmed the tank but I won't need anymore to late summer so fingers crossed the price will stabilise. Btw, prices inc. of VAT

Ordered for 38p a litre on the 7th March.

Early this week it had dropped to 36p a litre.

Now riding at 40p a litre with lots of warnings about heavy demand on the boilerjuice website.

You'd think with the airlines standing still it would be cheaper but it seems like everyone started panic buying in case the deliveries don't get through to the depots.

I ordered 700l last week for delivery today, was cheaper than 600l cost me last time I topped up.

Checked during the week and it was about £15 more for the same amount. Hasn’t come yet, hopefully will do.

I was quoted 36p a few days ago, it was late at night so I thought I’d “pull the trigger” the next day and it have jumped up to 41p

Still much cheaper than the last tankful I bought last summer.

I still have 400-500 left so will just sit and watch what happens.

Well on the back of this I've just rang my normal supplier and got a quote of 38p so even cheaper than the 40p I got of Boiler juice this morning, Placed an order but might have to wait a week for delivery.

Had 1000lts delivered on Wednesday for 38.7/ltr. Ordered 18th March. Total cost was cheaper than my 750lts ordered in January.
This was from OilNRG who are currently quoting 42.3/ltr inc VAT

I always use a small local independent, and have done for years.

However, at 51.45/l I may have to re-think my magnanimity.

Where's that ^^ from ?

Prices are still all over the place in Warwickshire, I'm being quoted 43 - 32.95 cheapest on Boiler Juice which is a first !

I'm 90% sure it will get cheaper but I doubt by much

There seems to be a location variance too, my parents in Essex always pay a few pence less than I do on the Oxfordshire/South Northants border.

We use about £250 of oil a month and thankfully filled up our 2,000 litre tank last month at around £0.42l which is the cheapest since moving into the house in Sept. Hopefully we won't need a re-fill for a while with the weather warming slightly.

36p here in Northern Ireland, you can normally bargain any supplier down to the cheapest company's rate. All handily listed at www.cheapestoil.co.uk by where they deliver to.
