converting my basement into a music cum TV room

Hey
I am converting my basement into a music cum TV room. Basically, it will be an entertainment room. It has an old couch now, which I will be throwing away.
I am planning to put a couple of chairs and recliners there. I already have the chairs which I will repaint and I will be getting the recliners.
I am repainting the walls too. Also, I will place a few musical instruments.
I want it to look a little vintage like 90's or '80s. I putting up the posters of Guns N' Roses, Nirvana, Queen and some other famous bands on the wall.
There are ideas that I have in my mind now. Do you have any suggestions other than this?

Are you planning on making noise in there or will it just be like a load of music stuff pinned on the wall?
How damp is it?

It sounds like any paint you choose for the walls should be washable.

Ok......you are going to need industrial blackout blinds, sound insulation that you would find in a professional recording studio and a big rug that rolls up neatly.

Given that it sounds like you are on a budget, have you visited your local Next home department?
