On our Daikin system we have one ducted unit. The temperature sensing can be via the controller in the room, the intake temperature on the unit or a combination of both.
Thanks, that’s what I’m hoping I can do with ours. I’ve not had a lot of luck with our installer on this, from my own research it appears I’d need a different wall controller but then need to configure it. I need to just phone Panasonic but keep forgetting!

I have had Electriq kit for 7 years. Works brilliantly, all wired into Alexa for voice control, also use a phone app.

Only criticism is the rubbish pipe cladding falls apart in sunlight over the years, so I have fitted Armacell Solar and am about to trunk it, which I should have done in the first place.

Also have their wall -mounted internal only one piece units in front rooms where an outside unit would be unsightly. Also excellent, no issues.

You can get LG for similar prices.

Do you mean you have one of these? https://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/p/iqool-smart15...

If so I'd love to know a bit more. We've got a garden office that unforntunately gets absolutely baked during the day. We've got a normal portable AC unit in there with the hose plumbed through the wall so you can keep all the windows and doors closed. We've also got the solar film on the glass. It still gets hot and the little portable can't cope (it also makes it quite hard to open the doors due to the pressure drop hehe ). One of these could be a good option but I think it would have to be quite a bit less noisy than a portable if we were gonna do it.

Though to be a fair a small mini-split would probably be very easy to fit on the rear wall.
I have several of these and they work really well. But we also have some of these, which are self-install, cheaper, quieter, less intrusive and more effective. Easy DIY fit as you don't even need to core drill through brick, with a wooden garden room. And cheaper than the big all-in-one units. Problem is that they use propane, and not sure who can refill/gas them as most units use R32. But I bet it can be done.
