I even tried an expensive Gardena one that claims to be very robust, as well as being frostproof - it isn't, as one failed after a year, which I got replaced. The replacement also failed - leaking when turned off.
.
Almost nothing is frost proof, unplug it, give it a shake, and chuck it in the shed for three months over winter!

My Hozelock metal "pro" one is still going fine after many years.

Got this one too. Works well, lasting well.
Same, 7 years in, left outside over winter...no issues at all.

I bought a Fanhao one from Amazon : https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09ST5CYH3/ref...

I found the Hozelock ones weren't much cheaper but often ended up failing in one way or another. Only thing with this one is I bought a brass connector for the hose too as it didn't open the valve proper in the Hozelock connector I had on there. If there's no valve in the connector then you're all good.
