'neighbor', 'windshield', 'carfax' all suggests this alleged situation is not in the UK so any advice on home insurance or law is surely not relevant?

If the USA, don't you guys either just get your attorneys involved and sue everyone in sight, or resort to a gunfight at dawn?

I was about to say the same. It's a pity that location isn't a required field on members' details.

I think this, perhaps combined with something lacking in the way the story has been relayed, has raised suspicions that this is a bot and/or didn’t happen.
