I poured the hundreds of guppies I had (they breed like crazy!!)onto the grass and hit them with a shovel till they stopped moving, I know you said no cruel methods but worked pretty well in my case, and as it's relatively quick it's not that cruel.

The ghosts of the fish got their revenge when I was trying to get the tank out of the top cupboard, it slipped and landed on my head, hurt like hell, but I took solace in the fact it hurt less than being shovelled to death.

Fish, made for eating not keeping.

Sold mine on EBay, collection only, tank equipment and fish, all gone. trouble is they are only fetching little money, mine went for about £50.....some of the fish could have been worth that if anyone aquaria would have taken them...
